Where to start.
Jamie is one of my closest friends. We met when I was 14. And despite a 12 year age gap, we became fast friends. She flew out to visit me when I lived in Montana a number of times and that is where our great friendship really grew.
I can’t even describe how excited I was when I decided to move to Louisville, and Jamie agreed to be my roommate.
We were roommates for six months when Jamie told me she had a boyfriend. Jonathan.
This relationship had been six years in the making. And despite Jamie’s best efforts to put him out of her mind and focus on other goals, she couldn’t do it any longer.
I’m not going to lie, at first, I was a little sad, (some might even say depressed), that I was going to be losing Jamie as my roommate. I still am sad that we won’t get to talk every day, sit on our back porch in the mornings, and laugh about our bad cooking. But after getting to know Jonathan I am 100% sure that there is not one other man out there who is better for her.
He is one of the sweetest, most caring, and most thoughtful men I have ever met. And Jamie deserves nothing less.
I am now so glad that I get to give them these photographs that they can look back on in the years to come. That I get to photograph their amazing love and document the growth of their relationship.
Congratulations to you both on your engagement, and I cannot wait for May 7th!!
